Arizona's primary turnout came in around 25 percent on July 21, the lowest since 2008. Low turnout raises the stakes for direct voter contact between now and November: we need to respond by canvassing, phone banking, postcarding, text banking, & more in LARGE numbers.
And I've got just the thing: The 100 Days Out Weekend of Action is on August 1 and 2, with door-knocks and phone banks happening statewide. Indivisible chapters are also standing up an Arizona Election Defense Corps to watch over the general election. Want to help out another way? Read on.

Protests & Resistance
More than 40 visibility actions across the state this week, including the ongoing push to get Rep. Abe Hamadeh in front of his constituents.
July 29 | Rush-Hour Resistance Rally | Maverick Zine | 7:30 AM | Phoenix. A morning rally at 7th St and Coral Gables in Moon Valley, part of the Rush-Hour Resistance Rallies held every weekday across the Phoenix metro. Check RhRR.us for the full rotating schedule.
July 31 | White Mountains Weekly Rally | Navajo County Indivisible Community | 4:00 PM | Show Low. A short weekly rally in Show Low against the administration's immigration enforcement and other policies.
August 1 | Stand Up CD 8 | Desert Progressives Indivisible | 8:00 AM | Phoenix. A peaceful, high-visibility protest calling out Rep. Abe Hamadeh for avoiding public town halls in favor of closed-door donor events. Part of the multi-site Step Up CD-8 effort.
Immigration
Arizona's immigration fights got a lot more local this week after an ICE raid at a Phoenix Home Depot that involved workers.
July 29 | Know Your Rights Training | Voices for Change AZ / Puente | 6:00 PM | Surprise. A rapid-response and know-your-rights training for community members, hosted by Voices for Change AZ and Puente.
August 1 | ICE Out of Home Depot Protest | National Day Laborer Organizing Network | 9:00 AM | Phoenix. Organizers say ICE raided a Home Depot at 36th and Thomas in Phoenix this week and detained several workers. This protest calls on Home Depot to speak out and stop cooperating with the raids.
Reproductive Rights
Local organizing on reproductive rights continues this summer as national policy keeps restricting access.
July 29 | Repro Rapport | Population Connection Action Fund | 5:00 PM | Tucson. An informal meetup for reproductive rights organizers and anyone new to the work, with a discussion on the Global Gag Rule's expansion under the current administration.

A couple of down-ballot campaigns and county parties are opening their doors to voters this week with casual meet-and-greets.

August 1 | Tanque Verde Community Gathering | Arizona LD17 Democrats | 10:30 AM | Tucson. A neighbor-to-neighbor gathering hosted by LD17 Democrats, with an open discussion on utilities and Arizona environmental issues.

Canvassing & Phone Banking
The 100 Days Out Weekend of Action brings door-knocks and phone banks to nearly every corner of the state on August 1 and 2, on top of ongoing canvasses for down-ballot candidates.
