Here’s what’s coming up across Arizona in the days ahead organized by issue area and date so you can quickly find what fits your schedule.
Immigration Rights & ICE Resistance

Monday, April 20th | Eyes on ICE: Train-the-Trainer | No Kings, Indivisible & ACLU | 5:00 PM | Online. No Kings, Indivisible, and the ACLU are hosting a virtual train-the-trainer session designed to equip participants to teach others core Know Your Rights topics — the right to remain silent, the right to refuse searches, and the right to record ICE and other law enforcement. If you have organizing reach in your community, this one is built for you. Come ready to learn so you can turn around and teach.
Saturday, April 25th | Protest ICE Deportations & the AROCC Detention Center | Mesa Valley Indivisible | 9:00 AM | Mesa. Mesa Valley Indivisible rallies outside the AROCC detention center at Mesa Gateway Airport to demand an end to ICE deportation flights operating out of the facility. After successfully pressuring Avelo Airlines to drop its ICE contract in January, the group is turning its attention to the next target: the detention center still running on the grounds. Bring a sign and bring a neighbor — the goal is to raise the group's public profile and increase pressure on government officials and the media.
Saturday, April 25th | Communities Not Cages: National Day of Action — Green Valley | We the People R Indivisible | 8:00–9:00 AM | Green Valley. We the People R Indivisible joins the nationwide Communities Not Cages day of action with a rally at West Esperanza Boulevard and North La Cañada Drive. The action opposes the administration's rapid expansion of ICE detention warehouses and the erosion of due process rights for immigrants and all Americans. All protests are peaceful — bring a sign and your voice.
Saturday, April 25th | Communities Not Cages: National Day of Action — San Luis | Disappeared in America | 2:00–5:00 PM | San Luis. The Communities Not Cages National Day of Action reaches the Arizona-Mexico border with a rally at Joe Orduño Park, 965 Park Ave in San Luis. Participants will gather to oppose ICE detention expansion, stand in solidarity with detained immigrants, and demand that elected officials defend due process. This action is part of the same coordinated national mobilization happening in cities across the country.
Saturday, April 25th | ICE Out of Home Depot Protest | National Day Laborer Organizing Network | 9:00 AM | Phoenix. The National Day Laborer Organizing Network is calling people to the Home Depot at 36th and Thomas in Phoenix to demand the company take a public stand against ICE raids on its properties. ICE has repeatedly targeted workers at Home Depot locations across the country — including a recent raid at this exact store — and the company has remained silent. The demands are clear: prevent enforcement operations on Home Depot property, restore safety for all customers and workers, and publicly condemn the raids.
Saturday, April 25th | Communities Not Cages: National Day of Action — Tucson | Disappeared in America | 8:00–10:00 AM | Tucson. As part of a nationwide mobilization against the Trump administration's expansion of ICE warehouse detention, Tucson activists are gathering outside Hal Feldman at 1636 N Swan Rd. The action is organized by the Disappeared in America campaign alongside Detention Watch Network, Public Citizen, MoveOn, and other partners. Bring a sign, bring your neighbors, and show up to demand due process for everyone.
Tenant & Housing Rights

Saturday, April 25th | Tenant Know Your Rights Panel | Fuerte Arts Movement | 9:45 AM | Phoenix. Fuerte Arts Movement is hosting a community meeting and panel on tenant rights, the eviction process, and how to avoid displacement and landlord abuses. Panelists include a City of Phoenix representative, Rep. Junelle Cavero-Harnal, and Constable Mahogany Kennedy. Lunch is provided and every attendee leaves with actionable materials — this is a practical session with real tools you can use.
Saturday, April 25th | Rent is Too High — Private Screening of "Cracks in the Desert" | Fuerte Arts Movement | 5:00 PM | Tucson. Fuerte Arts Movement closes out April 25th in Tucson with a private screening of their documentary Cracks in the Desert, followed by a filmmaker panel discussion. The screening is part of Rent is Too High, a statewide effort to address Arizona's housing crisis through organizing and advocacy. Light bites and refreshments provided — come for the film, stay for the conversation.
Civic Engagement & Democracy

Monday, April 20th | Exercise Your Rights Community Event | Fountain Hills Independent Indivisible | 8:00 AM | Fountain Hills. Fountain Hills Independent Indivisible gathers at the intersection of Saguaro and Shea for its weekly visibility event. Participants bring signs covering a range of issues — ICE-out, anti-war, No Kings, human rights, climate, and more — and stand together to make their views heard in the community. Bring your signs and find nearby parking before heading over.
Tuesday, April 21st | Letter Writing & Protest Sign Making | LD4 Dems | 11:00 AM | Location: Sign Up for Details. LD4 Dems holds its weekly Tuesday session focused on Rep. David Schweikert, who the group says continues to put party over constituents. Participants write letters to Schweikert's office and make signs for the ongoing protests outside his office. If LD candidates have postcards or letters in the pipeline, those get done here too. Show up any Tuesday — no RSVP required.
Thursday, April 23rd | Donating During a Fascist Crisis | Indivisible | 1:00–2:00 PM | Tucson. Indivisible is hosting a practical training on strategic giving at the Dusenberry-River Library, 5605 E River Rd, Unit 105 in Tucson. This is not a fundraising pitch — it's a working session on how to evaluate nonprofits, PACs, and grassroots organizations without spending hours doing research, and how to think about the timing and structure of your giving in a democratic crisis. Appropriate for both experienced activists and people who prefer to show up through financial support.
Thursday, April 23rd | Kingman Town Hall Listening Session | Sterbinsky for Congress | 6:00 PM | Kingman. Congressional candidate Dani Sterbinsky brings her district-wide listening tour to Kingman as part of her AZ-09 campaign. The format is explicitly conversational: no speeches, no talking at you — just a direct exchange about housing costs, grocery prices, and what's making everyday life harder in Mohave County. What people share will shape the campaign's priorities going forward. RSVP so the team can plan accordingly.
Saturday, April 25th | SRP Success Story: How Local Elections Shape Our Future | Desert Democracy | 10:45 AM | Online. Desert Democracy's monthly meeting features guest speaker Ed Hermes breaking down how local elections actually work — using the recent grassroots SRP board victory over Turning Point as a case study. Clean energy candidates won because everyday Arizonans out-organized a well-funded opposition. This session is about understanding that model and applying it to what comes next.
Saturday, April 25th | Asamblea del Pueblo / The People's Assembly | LUCHA | 9:00 AM | Location: Sign Up for Details. Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA) is hosting a People's Assembly town hall focused on billionaire and corporate influence in Arizona politics, with concrete demands around the state budget and the deportation pipeline. The framing is direct: Arizona isn't broke — it's being robbed. Come ready to learn, make demands, and put pressure on the people and institutions responsible.
Saturday, April 25th | 2000s Throwback and Emo Night with RAZE | Rural Arizona Engagement | 7:00–9:00 PM | Sierra Vista. The Cochise Youth Leadership Committee and Rural Arizona Engagement are turning AZ Prep Academy (362 E Wilcox Drive) into a low-light dance floor for a free, all-ages, alcohol-free throwback night. The music spans 2000s rap, emo, and pop — and there's a voter registration table on site, because building community and building civic power can absolutely happen in the same room. Bring your friends and your best throwback outfit.

Quick Action Alerts
These actions are timely, high-impact, and quick.

- Sign Cali Overs' Petition — ICE Detention Center Near Dysart High School: Cali Overs, Student Body Vice President at Dysart High in Surprise, has spent her senior year meeting with nearly every elected official in Arizona — Democrats and Republicans — about a DHS detention facility being built near her school and sharing its access road. Every single official has told her privately they oppose it. Not one has said so publicly. Not one has acted. The city has no safety plan for students. Cali's petition calls for a 3-mile safety buffer zone around schools, and it needs more signatures. Sign it and follow her updates: https://c.org/hxmC5fSwB7
- Find a May Day Action Near You (May 1): May Day Strong is calling for a national day of economic disruption — no work, no school, no shopping where possible. Rallies and nonviolent actions are being organized across Arizona and the country. Find one near you: https://www.mobilize.us/mayday/map/
Thanks for being here and I'll see you next week!
